Marine Valve Overhaul, Repair and Testing

Dismantling, internal inspection, seat grinding and lapping, reassembly and testing of safety, globe, gate and check valves.

Valves are taken to the bench and stripped so that each internal part can be assessed. Where a seat can be recovered by grinding or lapping it is repaired, otherwise the part is replaced. Pressure and leak testing follows reassembly.

Sequence of work

Dismantling and stripping of the valve
Inspection and measurement of internals
Cleaning of seat and disc faces
Restoration of the sealing face by grinding or lapping
Inspection of springs and moving parts
Repair or replacement of parts as required
Reassembly
Pressure, leak and function testing
Final coating and preparation for delivery

Where the work is done

On board, in the machinery space or on deck
In the yard, while the vessel is docked or alongside
In the workshop in Tuzla, when the equipment is removed and brought in
Across Türkiye and, where required, in foreign ports
