MIURA Marine Composite Boiler — Water Tube Renewal
Inspection of a MIURA marine composite boiler identified deformation and wear in a section of the water-tube bank requiring renewal.
View project
Maintenance, repair and new fabrication of marine boilers, heat exchangers and inert gas (IG) systems.
Thermo Mechanic is based in Tuzla and carries out maintenance and repair of boilers, heat exchangers, coolers, coils, inert gas (IG) systems and valves. Work is performed on board, in the yard or in the workshop.
The co-founders have approximately thirty years of experience in these fields, including repairs where standard solutions fall short and the remanufacture of critical equipment.

Scope is always defined after survey. Some parts are repaired on board, others are taken to the workshop or remanufactured.

Dispatch after fabrication
A significant share of the work comes through agents. The process always starts on board, at the failure itself.
We attend the vessel and inspect the failure in place. Duration, method and scope are defined after the survey.
We decide whether the work is done on board or the equipment is taken to the workshop, and whether repair is sufficient.
Carried out on board, in the yard or in the workshop. Emergency response is available when required.
Leak and function checks are carried out, assembly is completed and support is provided during commissioning.
Where an exchanger leaks, at which point a tube sheet has failed, or whether a valve seat can still be recovered by lapping can only be established by inspection in place. For that reason every job begins with a survey and the scope is defined afterwards.
Thermo Mechanic was founded in Tuzla. The work falls into two groups: repairs where standard solutions fall short, and made to measure remanufacture of parts that cannot be repaired.
Work comes through ship agents, owners, technical managers and superintendents. The vessel does not have to be in Tuzla, and travel to other ports or countries is arranged when the work requires it.
Scope and duration are not quoted before the failure has been seen in place. Let us know the port where the vessel lies and the type of equipment, and contact us using the details below to arrange a survey.
